Ironman France 2006

After swimming 3,800m, cycling 180km and running a marathon (42.2km) I had earned the right to run down the finishing chute between rows of cheering people, the last 20m of the marathon to finish my first Ironman. It began a long time back though, in the depts of the English winter when I signed myself up for the challenge. Prior to this I had only completed sprint distance triathlons and a handful of Olympic distance races so I was definately biting off more than I could chew, so to speak.

I swam directly over the submerged cameraman so I'm hoping I feature on the final cut of the IM France 2006 video.
